We salvaged the base of a Chinese work table and added new wooden slabs to make the top of this large ornately carved bench.  The wide seat is perfect for a beautiful hallway catching kids, and dogs, and boots, and things.  Or at the foot of a bed filled with Hudson Bay blankets and books.
